Scholarship: a Cornerstone of Marquette's Greek Life

Scholarship is an integral part of Greek Life here at Marquette.  In order to go through the recruitment process and join a sorority, all women must have a minimum of a 2.5 G.P.A.

This standard does not change.  Members of sororities are expected to keep their grades up, and each chapter holds study hours in order to facilitate academic sucess.

Want the inside scoop on which professors to take? Just ask one of your sisters!  Sorority members are there to help one another succeed academically.

Marquette Greeks pride themselves on their academic success.

  • The All-Greek G.P.A. (3.14) is higher than the All-University average (2.99)
  • In the Spring of 2008, all five social sororities had G.P.A.s above the All-Women's average of 3.06
  • Alpha Chi Omega & Alpha Xi Delta were given the Outstanding Scholarship Award at this past spring's Greek Awards
